This week saw the ending of N.Y. Fall Fashion week. I saw so many amazing pieces that I couldn’t possibly fit everything into one post so check back in a few more days to Part 2.
What were some of the most common themes I noticed from this year?
- Deep orange and yellow hues
- Bold patterns
- Leather (yep, leather isn’t just for the winter months)
- Flowy and whimsical dresses
With that said, here are a few of my favorite looks from this week…
One of my favorite things about Nanette Lepore are her fabulous dresses. Her clothes are high fashion, but very wearable and that’s what I love about them.
Anna Sui is taking bohemian chic to all new levels this spring. Her colors were muted, but she brought her pieces to life with soft patterns and lots of texture.
I can’t even describe how much I love Christian Siriano. Considering he’s only presented at fashion week a couple of times, I am so impressed with this work – you’d think he was a fashion veteran! Christian’s ready-to-wear pieces are so chic and there were several outfits that I’d absolutely wear.
I also love his ability to add a little drama to his shows. He someone manages to keep his pieces modern, while adding a little bit of an avant-guard attitude to them.
