An Easy Fall Centerpiece

I don’t know how many times I can say it, but I love fall! It’s by far my favorite season of the year; pumpkins, chilly weather, fairs and cozy sweaters…what’s not to love?

The other day I was at the grocery store and saw tons of  of mini-pumpkins and gourds out for sale. Of course I couldn’t’ resist the temptation so I swooped  a few packs and decided that I had to find a cute way to use them.

I’m not particularly crafty, but I figured that after a trip to Michael’s even I could create a cute centerpiece out of these pumpkins and gourds. If I can do it. so can you! Here’s what you’ll need:

Pumpkins and gourds, pine cones (these ones were scented with warm fall spices which I loved!), a wide-rimmed glass vase, ribbon, glitter paint, paint brushes and some newspaper to protect the surface you’ll be painting on.

Next, I started painting. This really could  not have been any easier and took just a few minutes. And how cute do they look? I am such a sucker for anything that glitters…

Then let all your sparkly pumpkins, gourds and pine cones dry. This might take an hour or so…

While the glitter paint is drying, get started on your vase. I just wrapped some seasonal ribbon around the base and the top for some added character.

So when your vase is done it should look like this:

Last but not least, fill your vase with all your glittered decorations. And voila!

Looks pretty, doesn’t it? 🙂

Have you created any cute fall decorations recently?
