Super Bowl Snack Time

Year after year, I’m dissapointed in the teams going to the Super Bowl. It never seems to be one of my favorite teams and I know it’ll be a long time before my Redskins get to another Super Bowl. So for me watching the big game is about two things – food and friends.

And really? Madonna is doing the half-time show? Ugh. But I digress…

Just like any other event, I’m going to take this as the perfect opportunity to cook up some delicious food. My friend Amy and her hubby will be joining us for a relaxing and fun evening. Here’s what I plan to cook up:

Dashing Dish’s Super Skinny Pizza Pinwheels – This is by far one of my favorite food blogs. I’ve made several of her recipes and they’re all amazing AND much healthier than their traditional counterparts. I know her pinwheels will not dissapoint!

Baked Buffalo Wings – Buffalo wings and football are an obvious combination, but hopefully these baked wings will be a healthier alternative!

Sausage Dip – Again, chips and dip are a foodball standby, but we’re hoping to put a healthier twist on this recipe. We’ll be using low-fat cream cheese, turkey sausage and baked chips for dipping.

What fun recipes will you be making for the Super Bowl this year?
