Wedding countdown: 6 months to go!

It feels like just yesterday I was writing a blog post on our 9 month countdown; time really flies when your having fun. I honestly cannot believe that we’ve only got about 6 months to to go before our Big Day. When you have a 2 year engagement, the actual wedding seems sooo far away, but now it’s right around the corner!

More than anything, I am just getting excited. All the tedious aspects of the wedding seem to be over (fingers crossed) and for the past three months I have been enjoying all the planning. We’ve picked out a DJ – the company is awesome and I am fully confident that they’ll do a great job at giving our guests a great party; I’ve selected a florist and seriously, I cannot wait to see what the flowers will look like in person. A couple months ago we met with a graphic designer about our save-the-date cards and our invitations. This is has been one of my favorite splurges so far of the wedding – our invites are a perfect representation of our wedding and I cannot wait to mail them out!

We also did some serious work on our guest list (never easy) and gathered what seemed to be a bajillion (yes, bajillion) addresses for everyone. I completely surprised myself and put a fancy itemized budget together of all our expenses and future wedding expenses (hey, working at an accounting firm will do that to you…) and so now we know where we are with the budget.

So now, all I really have left to think about is the fact that in about 6 months and 1 day, I’ll be on a sunny beach in St. Lucia. I can feel my blood pressure dropping just thinking about it.

In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite pieces of wedding inspiration!

I die for this bouquet. I love the romantic look of it.

wedding jewels

I’m thinking these fabulous earrings from Max & Chloe will be perfect with my dress.

And to go along with the accessories theme, these Kate Spade’s just might have to be my wedding shoes because they’re just too pretty not to be. And they’re not terribly high (which is important when you don’t have a super tall groom!)

black and gold wedding inspiration

Black and gold details with ivory flowers?! Perfection.

A candlelit ceremony; how beautiful.

That’s all for now. Have a great rest of your week!
