Hi there! I’ve been a bad blogger. Again. I realize it’s been way too long since I’ve written and for that, I’m sorry!
As usual, Life as Mr. & Mrs. (well…almost) has had a crazy past few weeks and I just haven’t had the chance to write like I woud like to.
About a week and a half ago my family got the unfortunate news that my grandfather passed away. R and I switched around our work schedules and the whole fam packed up their cars and suitcases and we were all headed to West Palm Beach, Florida where he lived with my grandmother. Despite the tough situation, it was wonderful to see my family again; it’s a shame I don’t get to see them more often.
I will always miss my Opa (that’s what we called him – it means ‘grandfather’ in German), but I am comforted that he is now in a happy and peaceful place. I know he’s looking down on us now watching over us. I love you, Opa!
Wedding plans are going really well – can you believe we’re less than three months away now?! I am feeling really, really good about how things are going. A few weeks ago I was about to blow my bridal brains out with stress, but things are finally starting to fall into place.
Our invitations are finished and they look ah.maz.ing. Seriously, I am so glad we decided to splurge a little on invites. They do set the tone of the wedding, afterall! I can’t wait to show you a few pictures. They were designed by Adger at Sealed With Appeal and she’s got tremendous talent.
September is going to be a really fun month – my bridal shower, bachelorette weekend and my bridal portraits will all be happening! I can’t wait to savor all these special bridal moments with the friends and family I love most.
This weekend I plan on working on a wedding DIY project so if all goes well, I definitely plan on sharing all that with you. I also made a KILLER peach crisp earlier this week and seriously, you’re going to die it tastes so good. It was based off of one of my grandmother’s recipes and I just cannot help, but share it with you!
That’s all for now. Hope you guys have something fun planned for this weekend!
