Julep – a review

Happy Monday! I hope you had a chance to spend lots of time outside this weekend. We took advantage of our front porch and our fire pit as the weather was just too beautiful to resist!

Today I wanted to share a little bit about Julep and their monthly nail polish subscription. Very similar to Birchbox, you pay a monthly fee ($20) and receive about $40 of merchandise based on your style profile.

I have really, really loved receiving my Julep boxes in the mail the past couple of months. First of all, the presentation is always beautiful. Opening my box each month feels a little like Christmas morning or my birthday.

I also really love the shape of the nail polish bottles. They’re totally different than many of the other popular nail polishes on the market which I think it sets them apart. The look is sleek and contemporary – just like their polishes!

The colors themselves (based on what I have received so far) are really vibrant and rich. Nail polish has come such a long way these past few years and the Julep colors are as subtle or as eccentric as you’d like them to be. Here are the colors I have received so far. They are all part of their ‘Classic with a Twist’ collection.

Julep 1 I have only done a Julep manicure on myself, but I was happy to find that I got a solid 5-6 days of wear before any major chipping. About three days into my manicure, I touched my nails up just a bit to help them last longer and this is a trick I plan on continuing.

In addition to the nail polishes, I have also received a couple of other additional beauty products.

Julep 2I have to say, I absolutely adore the Glow Pore Minimizing Blush. It’s the perfect shade of pink for me and I’ve been wearing it every day since I received it. I haven’t given the Mighty Cuticle Treatment a try yet so I can’t provide a review on that.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with their products! If you are interested, you can learn more about  the Julep subscription here.

Have you tried Julep before? I’d love to know what you think!
